‘Assassin’s Creed 3’ PS3 version receives exclusive ‘Benedict Arnold’ DLC

Get ready, PS3 owners, to exact your revenge on Xbox 360 Call of Duty fans. If you’ve ever cried in your room waiting for the next juicy morsel of DLC to drop, knowing that your Microsoft counterparts are already playing it, then now’s your chance to rub it in their faces. Announced this morning on the PlayStation Blog, Ubisoft will release a PS3 exclusive DLC for Assassin’s Creed III, centering around the betrayal of Benedict Arnold.

A special assignment from General George Washington (not yet king, as he will be in “The Tyranny of King Washington) kicks off this four-episode story. As Connor, you’re tasked with investigating and exposing a plot to overthrow the West Point fort. You’ll have to rely on cunning and secrecy to find out the details of Benedict Arnold’s great deception, and stop it before it takes effect.

The downloadable saga represents one of the most pivotal points in the American Revolution. As story writer Matt Turner puts it, “If West Point had been captured by the British… the Patriots would have lost the war.”

“Benedict Arnold” will be available exclusively on PS3 on Assassin’s Creed III’s launch day, October 30.
