Did you know that between 2002 and 2013 the Madden franchise averaged 5 songs per year by bands that topped the music charts? That is a crazy statistic to think about but anyone who has played Madden knows that they have always had some good music.
To research the soundtrack for Madden NFL 16, EA Sports listened to potential tracks in February. The labels send tracks that either were recently released or are going to be released around the time Madden NFL 16 comes out at the end of the summer.
Madden Development Director Benjamin Ramsour described his vision this way:
When you pop in Madden NFL 16 you’ll be dropped into the middle of an interactive, cinematic experience where you become part of a dramatic Super Bowl comeback. This is made more powerful by, among other things, a professionally scored musical composition.
EA Sports worked with a live 60 piece orchestra and an additional 30 tribal drums to ensure users feel the intensity of the moment. They also worked with composer, JunkieXL who created the music for Mad Max 300.
Madden NFL 16 will feature a soundtrack from a diverse roster of soon-to-be-breakthrough artists. What songs/artists do you want to hear in Madden 16? Sound off in the comments section.
