Since our staff is responsible for covering pretty much everything related to the video game industry on a daily basis, it can be tough to post all the stories we think our readers would like to see. Videos go unwatched, new release dates are missed and silly quotes just float away without ever being heard. So, instead of ignoring the news that slipped through the cracks each week, we decided to put it all in one convenient place!
This week, Square Enix puts out an all new RPG on iOS, Wasteland 2 gets delayed and much more.
‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ gets a release date
Not to be confused with TMNT: Out of the Shadows, Activision has announced the date for their other Ninja Turtles game. Unlike Out of the Shadows, this second game, simple titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be a sidescrolling co-op brawler. This one will also be a retail title, releasing on Xbox 360, Wii and 3DS on October 22 in the US and October 35 everywhere else.
‘Bloodmasque’ for iOS out now
Square Enix have just released an Unreal engine powered action RPG for iOS. Bloodmasque takes place in Paris in 1890, this particular version of the French capital has been overrun by vampires however. With impressive production values, Square Enix boasts that Bloodmasque can take up to 20 hours to complete. Players will also be able to customise their character with their own face, by using their iOS devices’ camera to scan their mugs into the game. Check out the trailer below or head over to the games website for more info. Or if you want to take the plunge right away, you can grab the game for $6.99/£4.99/€5.99 on the App Store right now.

Xbox One will only record the last five minutes of gameplay
According to Microsoft Studios creative director Ken Lobb, speaking at San Diego comic-con, the Xbox One will record the last five minutes of gameplay to your hard drive. Microsoft previously announced this feature at their E3 press briefing, but this is the first time they’ve revealed this particular detail. It’s significant in that it had been previously reported Sony’s Playstation 4 would record 15 minutes of footage, however according to some digging by Eurogamer that may not be the case. With Sony now telling them that the PS4 will record a far more vague “several” minutes.
‘Lords of Shadow 2’ and ‘PES 2014’ heading to Gamescom
If you’re attending Gamescom and like yourself some Capcom games, then you’re in luck! Capcom will be taking their two big fourth quarter games to the show, those being Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2014. Both will be playable on the show floor, and apparently their will be announcements related to both games at the show too. Keep an eye on the site for those.
‘Wasteland 2’ gets delayed
We’re reaching the time where a bunch of games funded from Kickstarter are due to hit. Shadowrun Returns just released this past week and Leisure Suit Larry Reloaded came out a little before that. Wasteland 2 was due to join them this October, but it looks like it won’t make that release. Developer, InXile Entertainment, will instead be aiming to have a beta test around that period. Though it sounds like that’ll be an internal affair rather than a public or backer beta. Head over to their Kickstarter page for more info from the devs.
