Almost Human’s Legend of Grimrock was one of last year’s best games, and it appears I wasn’t the only one that thought so. In 2012, the game sold over 600,000 copies, which is extremely good for a retro-style indie game with a shoestring budget. Not long after that, the company pushed out a pair of screen shots that appeared to be from another Grimrock game.
The content has been confirmed to be a Legend of Grimrock sequel, though it was originally an expansion that snowballed into something much greater. Developer Petri Hakkinen said, “We still have a lot of ideas to explore, lots and lots of new content already done (originally made for a DLC/expansion) and a big engine update in the works. Hakkinen also expressed the desire of Almost Human to return to doing regular project updates on the game, to make sure fans are kept in the loop on the game’s development. These can be viewed on the Grimrock blog.
