Since the co-op focused departure that was Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One released last year to mixed critical reception, Insomniac has decided to stick to its large and destructive guns by returning to its roots in 2012. This fall, the studio’s most famous dynamic duo will make a comeback in the questionablely titled Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault.
Similar to Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty, Full Frontal Assault will be a “fun-sized” downloadable title. Insomniac Head Ted Price stated in a recent post on the PlayStation Blog that the team has “returned to the series’ classic feel, camera, controls and weapons, while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play.” Along with the traditional gameplay and feel, an online mode where “you can experience Full Frontal Assault with your friends” is being developed, but nothing more about this feature is known at the moment. The game will come just in time for the series’ 10th anniversary, so expect nothing but the best from the veteran team.
