As if the rumors swirling around for the next generation of consoles weren’t rampant enough, a brand job posting this morning gives life to the fire. Microsoft has posted, and since removed, a job posting stating they’re hiring for the “next generation of Xbox”.
The job listing stated that they are hiring for a software development engineer. Even though it’s definitely no longer available on their website, the wonders of Google Cache were able to keep it alive.
Below, we’ve listed a snippet from the job posting referencing next generation technology:
“The ISS Console Multimedia Team, responsible for designing and developing the next generation console, is looking for a highly motivated and skilled audio developer. If you love gaming, game audio and music, then join us as an integral part of the team tasked to revolutionise audio for the next generation of Xbox.”
Along with this job posting, another posting on Microsoft’s website references working on a “AAAA” title. In addition to that job posting, Turn 10 has also been spotted working on next generation technology as well. It’s a busy week if you’re in the next generation business.
What do you think about the numerous job listings for a “next generation of Xbox” and “AAAA” title? What games would you like to see launch with Microsoft’s next console? Be sure to let us know what you think by leaving us a comment below, or discuss Microsoft in our forums.
