For anyone who had the opportunity to play the original SSX titles last generation, especially SSX Tricky, today is a day to celebrate. EA SPORTS has made the reboot of the SSX series officially available in stores and online at your favorite retailers.
The demo that was released for the game became quite popular for gamers on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The demo showcased “RiderNet” which is very similar to Need for Speed’s autolog feature. Gamers were able to share their “Trick It” scores or “Race It” to their friends and challenge them to beat them.
It’s a feature that absolutely keeps the replay value high as gamers will constantly look to get the best possible score or time to rank higher on the leaderboards. After beating a friend’s score, you’ll even earn a bounty that helps you unlock gear or other items in the game.
“We’re extremely proud to finally bring back the SSX franchise, one of the greatest wholly-owned IP franchises from EA SPORTS,” said Dean Richards, General Manager, Team & Action Sports, EA SPORTS. “We’ve built SSX with the latest technologies giving it a more modern look and feel, but everyone who has played it has agreed – this is 100 percent SSX at its core.”
