Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s anticipated DLC initiative, targeted mainly towards paid Call of Duty: Elite subscribers, appears as though it’s finally getting underway.
In an announcement on the Call of Duty Elite “TV” program Roll Call, Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling revealed that the first DLC for Modern Warfare 3 will be available to download next month, stating “the full season of content for Modern Warfare 3 kicks off for Elite subscribers January 24th on Xbox Live.” Notice that PS3 and PC wasn’t specified, meaning that the ETA for their release it likely to be a later date.
Bowling promises that the new content will deliver “a variety of things that players have never seen before,” including updates on the game’s Spec Ops mode. Any intel regarding more than that however, is, to this point, strictly classified.
Also unannounced was a price for the DLC, although paid subscribers to COD: Elite will receive the download for free as planned. If your one such member, you might want to check out the full video announcement, which available only through Call of Duty Elite TV’s paid section.
