Activision has been no slouch to help out the men and women of the US military, having founded the non-profit Call of Duty Endowment in 2009 to assist military veterans with job training and placement.
In their latest effort, the company announced today that all proceeds from the sales of Xbox Live avatar gear between December 2 and December 16 would go to benefit the organization. Two new full avatar suits, the American Special Forces and Special Ops Juggernaut, have also been created especially for the event.
Gamers love to argue over whether or not such items are worth the price of downloading, and if they’re really just petty cash grabs by the various companies who sell them. In this case, there’s no debating that any purchase would be money well spent.
