While Medal of Honor may not have been your favorite title, it released to a ton of controversy and was picked up by quite a few gamers. For those of us that picked the title up, it was solid and had potential, but missed out on quite a few opportunities to become one of those “special” hits.
While it’s been known for awhile now that the recently rebooted series would be having a sequel, confirmation has just come in the form of copies of Battlefield 3. When you head to your local retailer on Tuesday to pick up your title, you’ll quickly find a Medal of Honor leaflet behind your online pass teasing a brand new Medal of Honor game.
The first title in the Medal of Honor reboot focused heavily on the “Tier 1 Operatives”, and judging by the log, it doesn’t appear that DICE or EA plan to stray far from that path at all.
The title received quite a bit of criticism for lack of consistent action in the singleplayer campaign, and for a lackluster multiplayer. While the multiplayer had great maps, it lacked severely in terms of the classes and traditional unlocks that gamers have grown accustom to.
With Battlefield 3 receiving so much publicity and effort, we’re excited to see what DICE can bring to a Medal of Honor reboot sequel. If the multiplayer can be more similar in style to what Battlefield 3 offers, but still offering its own great experience, color us interested.
There’s no other details, other than the website listed at the bottom which we’re expecting to see updated at some point in the very near future. With quite a few gamers flooding the website this week, expect DICE to make at least some sort of announcement in the coming weeks.
