Street Fighter X Tekken Receives a Release Date & Gem System

As a kid, I remember arguing with friends over my favorite Tekken characters being able to “beat up” their favorite Street Fighter characters.  After the announcement of the title last year, I feel as if I should be calling up a few friends to settle this childhood bet once and for all.  Thanks to Capcom, I can finally set a date for this epic showdown.

On March 6th, 2012, fighting fans will finally be able to get their hands on Street Fighter X Tekken.  Better yet, Capcom has confirmed that the title will also be receiving a release for the PC.

In addition to the release date, Capcom has also confirmed a “Gem” system for the title that will allow you to customize the styles of your fighters.  In the video above this paragraph, you’ll see Seth Killian of Capcom describing the “Gem” system.  Thanks Joystiq!
