NBA 2K12 Roster Update Including Jeremy Lin Increase is Now Live

For even the most casual sports fan, you’ll know who Jeremy Lin is.  The undrafted guard out of Harvard has absolutely taken over your Sportscenter broadcasts, Twitter and Facebook timelines, and even water cooler conversations.

NBA 2K12 gamers have been wondering when they’ll get the chance to have a little “Linsanity” of their own, and that era starts today.  2K Sports has announced that the latest roster update has went live for NBA 2K12, which includes a rating increase to “69″ for Jeremy Lin.

There’s quite a few other smaller changes within the patch, but most fans on the Playstation 3 are wondering when the system freeze issue will be addressed.  2K Sports assures fans that they’re hard at work on a fix, and hope to have news in the very near future.

What do you think about the latest roster update for NBA 2K12?  Do you think that Jeremy Lin’s rating should  be lower, higher, or is it perfect?  Be sure to let us know what you think by leaving us a comment below, or discuss NBA 2K12 in our forums.

When not writing for the site, you can find Dougie on Xbox Live & Playstation Network (Gamertag: AirUpThere06). He plays just about everything, but loves a good shooter with a great multiplayer experience.

I think his overall should be higher, between 80-88 would be more accurate. He gets more turnovers than most point guards but he makes up for it with his offense and passing ability

69 is the same rating Tony Douglas has. Now who thinks these 2 teammates are even overall??? Any1… I think not. 78 for Lin is fair at this point.

I could see Jeremy Lin being a 74 right now. You don’t want to rank him too high just yet because we need to see more games. A 74 would have seem justified for me based on how he’s playing, and still allow him to be a dominant force in NBA 2k12.

I think his rating should be between 70-80 percent.

the guy broke every record for first 6 starts in history. gotta be higher,, and w technology these days,, we shouldnt have to wait more than 72 hrs for changes. sports is a world where everything can be different in 3 days. wake up, powers that be!!!!

78 easy, and all his shooting, dribbling, and post moves should be good or great

69-72 is about fair for now. People act like he’s broken Kareem’s scoring record or some shit.

I think thats a fair rating. Ratings in NBA 2k12 are based on how well you play your position. PG’s should be good at shooting, passing, ball handling and playmaking, and speed and not what your stats look like. Sure he’s been dropping 20+ and 8+ assists but in the game your abilities or attributes is what matters. Lin turns the ball over a little to much and is not the fastest point guard. On second though maybe Lin’s rating should be at max 72. 80 would be a little i realistic to me. Dont get me wrong, hes good but should have a rating more than 72.
