All you have to do is download the free version from their website here, register for the standard version, and you’ll be immediately upgraded for no additional charge.
If you want to take it a step further, YoYo Games is also offering the more advanced ‘Professional’ version of the Gamemaker Studio software at a discounted price of $35, down from the regular price of $99.99. This deal also goes until March 7th.
Some examples of popular games made with the Gamemaker Studio software include the punishing indie gem Spelunky and the outrageously over-the-top Hotline Miami.
