Doom 4’s certainly had a rocky ride, hasn’t it?
Since being announced back as early as 2007, details about iD Software’s long awaited sequel to one of the longest running shooter franchises has been scarce to say the least; save for the not-so-assuring ‘it’s coming.’
Today, it was announced that Doom 4, now going under the simple title of Doom, is still alive. Nothing else is known at this point, other then beta access for Doom will be included in new copies of Wolfenstein: The New Order. It is unknown if this will be a multiplayer beta, or something else.
Wolfenstein: The New Order was also given a release date of May 20th, 2014, after being pushed back from its original 2013 release date. It is set to release on Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and PC. Doom does not have a release date as of yet.
