Last week, Sony unveiled details on the first two multiplayer maps for the PlayStation 4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall. The maps will be free for all players.
Both maps are based on Shadow Fall’s single-player campaign. According to the PlayStation Blog, The Cruiser is a close- to mid-range map set on a decommissioned cruiser. The map features “tight, claustrophobic corridors” and controlling choke points is key.
The Hangar falls on the opposite end of the spectrum – a wide open map in the hangar bay of a mining spire. There’s a large primary battleground, as well as several alternative routes off the main hub.
The blog also notes that the first DLC expansion is currently in the works and that more information will be available shortly. There’s no word yet on when the new maps will drop, but odds are it will be pretty soon.
