‘Daylight’ Promises Spontaneous Horror For Indie Gamers

In the horror genre—regardless of the medium through which the story is told—the line “is anyone there?!” seldom bodes well for the protagonist.

Such was the opening line in the trailer for Daylight— an upcoming indie horror, dungeon-crawler title for the Playstation 4 and PC. Evan Narcisse of Kotaku reported that it is “going to transform each time you try to escape.”

Built on the Unreal Engine 4, Zombie Studios—the group of people responsible for the games’ development—describe the title as “a procedurally generated psychological thriller.”

With only a cell phone to light up the otherwise dark hospital that you attempt to navigate, Zombie Studios main focus of the game is to make “no two gaming experiences” alike.

Probable to score favorably in the replay value criteria, Daylight is due out in the first quarter of 2014.
