According to Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, keyboard and mouse support might be part of the Xbox One’s future. In an interview with Newegg, Hryb described how Microsoft will help any developers who want to use the control scheme.
We’ll certainly have this great SDK for developers to do what they like. If that’s something they’re interested in doing, we’ll certainly help them do that. Certainly it’s possible, but we don’t have anything to announce at this time.
Of course, this is all still hypothetical. Hryb explains that this isn’t part of Microsoft’s current focus, which is expected considering the console is only set to launch this November. If this is something that happens down the line, I’m certainly not going to argue.
