Today, EA unveiled some more information for the Battlefield 4 beta and what you can expect from the experience.
EA started by mentioning that anyone will have access to all gamers as soon as it releases, so you don’t have to do anything special to get access to it. However, while the beta launches October 4, you can get in as early as October 1 if you preordered the Digital Deluxe Edition on Origin, are a Battlefield 3 Premium member, or are a registered owner of the Limited or Deluxe edition of Medal of Honor Warfighter.
Battlepoints are featured in the beta, and these apparently work similarly to Killzone: Mercenary‘s system in which gaining the currency will give you access to more goodies with which to outfit your characters. Players will be able to play Conquest and Domination modes with Siege of Shanghai, which is apparently a map. However, Commander Mode will not be available in this beta.
Finally, here are the PC specs to run the beta and, presumably, the full game when it launches on October 29:
- 64-bit version of Windows REQUIRED
- 3GB RAM
- 30GB Hard Drive space
- Processor: AMD Athlon X2 2.8 GHz or higher, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or higher
- Graphics: AMD Radeon 3870 or higher, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or higher
