This week gamescom is going down in Cologne, Germany and according to a page on the UK PlayStation site, the convention is where we’ll finally find out just what Sony is doing with the launch of the PlayStation 4. As to what will be revealed we don’t know since Sony is playing coy. The only thing the page says on the matter is that there with be “a briefing to media on our release plans for PlayStation 4, as well as updates on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.” Still, it’s not outside of the realm of reasoning that the briefing will entail things like which countries are getting the console at launch, when that launch will be, and what we can expect to play on it day-one. They’ll be announcing this information at 6:00 PM BST (1:oo PM EST) on Tuesday, August 20th. The press conference will be stream live on PlayStation’s website.
