Microsoft’s annual Xbox Live Arcade promotion, Summer of Arcade, kicks off Aug. 7, Xbox spokesperson Major Nelson announced today.
The yearly promotion this year begins with the release of Starbreeze Studios’ Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, which will be available for 1,200 Microsoft points. Ska Studios’ co-op brawler Charlie Murder drops Aug. 14 for 800 MSP. An HD remake of the 1992 science fiction platformer Flashback, will release for the same price Aug. 21. The promotion will wrap up Aug. 28 with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, a brawler developed by Red Fly Studio. The game will retail for 1,200 MSP.
In addition, any Xbox Live user who purchases at least two Summer of Arcade titles will receive a free souls pack for Ascend: Hand of Kul.

Summer of Arcade is an annual promotion on Xbox Live’s digital marketplace. Beginning in 2008, Summer of Arcade is regularly a space in which high-profile games for the platform are unleashed on the world – XBLA mega-hits Castle Crashers, Braid, LIMBO and Bastion all made their debuts during the promotion.
