Half-Life
This one’s obvious. Much to fan’s chagrin, Valve’s Half-Life has been MIA since 2007’s Half-Life 2: Episode Two. The existence of Episode Three – or perhaps a full-blown Half-Life 3, at this point – has become something of a combination urban legend/running joke within the gaming industry; rumors that an unveiling of the game is right around the corner are ever-present before trade shows and slow news days. Valve is almost certainly working on more Half-Life – it’s the franchise that put the developer on the map – and it’s almost certainly going to next-gen consoles. The only question is when we’ll actually see it (perhaps it’ll be a PlayStation 5 launch title).
