During Konami’s pre-E3 show earlier today, a few snippets of information were discussed regarding Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. After a bit of abstract game design discussion, the game’s director Enric Alvarez chimed in with some concrete information.
Alvarez went on to explain a few improvements being made to the Lords of Shadow franchise. When discussing the nature of the game world itself he said,
We wanted the game’s world to grow organically, not level to level. In Lords of Shadow 2, you’ll be able to walk freely all over the game’s universe without loading times and with a very organic and real feeling.
Afterwards Alvarez briefly mentioned the removal of fixed camera angles in favor of a completely free camera. Nothing groundbreaking was revealed, but it sounds like good news nonetheless. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is scheduled to release later this year for the PS3, 360, and PC.
