Legendary Pictures’ Warcraft film will begin filming early 2014, producer Charles Roven (Man of Steel, The Dark Knight) told SlashFilm.
“First quarter 2014 we’re going to shoot that movie,” Roven said. “We’re moving forward; obviously Legendary is making that film and I’m having a great time with Duncan [Jones].”
Jones (Source Code, Moon) was announced as the director of the Warcraft film in January. Sam Rami (Spider-Man, The Evil Dead) had previously filled that role, but left due to obligations directing Oz: The Great and Powerful. Charles Leavitt (Blood Diamond, The Express) is currently credited as the film’s screenwriter.
