6. More clutter on the dashboard
Whenever I start up my 360, I’m usually playing a game. I’m not logging in to see what’s new with Niki Minaj, or to check out that Xbox-exclusive Star Trek Q&A. I’m logging in to play a video game on my video game console. Launching a game already set in the disc drive is easy enough, but sifting through layer after layer of UI just to find an old XBLA game can be a nightmare. And outside of all that, especially if I’m already paying Microsoft for a premium service, I don’t want my screen flooded with a smorgasbord of ads as I sift through these layers.
