2. More services locked behind Xbox Live Gold
Having access to Netflix on a console is awesome. Having to pay an additional $60 per year for the privilege of using it on another device is not. As the only console manufacturer with a paid subscription for online play, Microsoft has not been shy about hiding everything else behind the gilded wall of Xbox Live Gold. Netflix, YouTube, even Internet Explorer is unusable unless you’re willing to shell out the extra cash. Making me pay for reliable multiplayer is one thing; forcing me to pay for a service that is free everywhere else is nonsense.
