9. Waluigi (Mario franchise)
Much like his do-gooder counterpart, Waluigi constantly lives in the shadow of his more popular brother, Wario (are they brothers? Nobody seems to know for sure). While Luigi, at least, has gotten a couple of starring roles and has appeared in every Smash Bros. title to date, Waluigi has been relegated to Assist Trophy status at best. It’s high time for “bad Luigi” to get a turn in the ring. His presence in just about every Mario sports title to date – seemingly the only games anyone can count on him appearing in – would give him a unique array of attacks, and his lanky frame and long reach would keep him from being a clone of the rest of his ilk.
