Since our staff is responsible for covering pretty much everything related to the video game industry on a daily basis, it can be tough to post all the stories we think our readers would like to see. Videos go unwatched, new release dates are missed and silly quotes just float away without ever being heard. So, instead of ignoring the news that slipped through the cracks each week, we decided to put it all in one convenient place!
This week, the infected take center stage in a new The Last of Us trailer, a new Shadow Warrior is revealed, and much more.

Sixth playable Borderlands 2 class Krieg out May 14
According to one of Gearbox’s many Twitter accounts, the latest playable class for Borderlands 2 will hit May 14th. Krieg, one of the infamous Bandit Psychos, will focus much more on melee combat in an attempt to make fighting more dynamic.
Frostbite not being used for Wii U
There was some depressing news for the Wii U out of DICE earlier this week. Technical director Johan Andersson tweeted on the subject of the Frostbite 3 engine running on the system, explaining “FB3 has never been running on WiiU. We did some tests with not too promising results with FB2 & chose not to go down that path.”
Last month DICE also announced that Battlefield 4, which just so happens to use the Frostbite 3 engine, wouldn’t make it to the Wii U. This isn’t the first instance of 3rd parties skipping the Wii U, with the latest Madden also choosing to avoid it.
‘Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded’ comes out May 31
It amazes me that Leisure Suit Larry is still a thing, but apparently a remake of the original is on its way this month. Scheduled to release May 31st, the remake will feature updated visuals and a new character, Jasmine. Reloaded will hit PC, Mac, and Linux for $19.99, with iOS and Android versions running $9.99. Check out the original Kickstarter video below for more information.

New ‘Shadow Warrior’ announced
The kinda racist 3D realms first-person shooter Shadow Warrior is being revived by Flying Wild Hog. Announced via the studio’s Facebook page, not much is known except the project is supposedly a “total reimagining” of the series. Check out the teaser site here.
‘Ascend: New Gods’ renamed to ‘Ascend: Hand of Kul’
The action RPG Ascend: New Gods, first announced at E3 last year, has been relabeled Ascend: Hand of Kul. Developer Signal Studios covered the name change on the game’s site, explaining,
A year has passed since our big unveil at E3 2012, and the New Godsare no longer “new”. It was a tough decision, but during their board meeting in The Sanctum a couple of weeks ago, the New Gods decided to step down from power.
Although the news came as a sudden shock to us, we agreed with their decision. Left without a governing body, we decided on our own that it would be more appropriate to give the title a more story-centric name. How? Well, you’re just going to have to play the game to find out. 😉
Ascend is currently taking applications for an upcoming Beta, and is scheduled to hit the 360, PC, and Windows Phone.
