With all the hubbub lately revolving around GTA V, PS3 and Vita users may have a chance to see where the series began. Spotted by the eagle-eyed members of NeoGaf, Grand Theft Auto 1 and 2 have been rated by the ESRB for the PlayStation 3, Vita, and PSP. While this is no official confirmation of anything, there’s a good chance the two classics are on their way to the PlayStation Network.
Originally released in 1997 and 1999, the early Grand Theft Auto games brought the same kind of carnage we know and love to the original PlayStation. Presented as a top-down shooter, the two games appear drastically different than their modern contemporaries, but sill keep the same core philosophy.
