PSN having login issues

You may have attempted to log into the PlayStation Network earlier today, whether it be to access your Bioshock Infinite content or to get the latest Plus swag. You may have also been greeted with an error message.

This is all too familiar to those of us who remember the traumatizing period of extended network downtime a couple of years ago when the network was hacked. This, of course, is probably nothing nearly as severe, though Tuesday is the worst possible day for a network issue. At the very least, Sony is aware of the problem and is looking into it. Hopefully we’ll have some more concrete information and/or a fix later tonight. I want my China Broom Shotgun in Bioshock Infinite!
