In a presentation held earlier today, Sony announced that the price of the PlayStation Vita in Japan will drop from 24,980 yen to 19,980 yen. This equates to a reduction of about $55. Retailers will adopt this new price point Feb. 28, and both the 3G and Wi-Fi versions will be affected. It’s currently unknown if this price drop will carry over to other territories.
