For quite some time, gamers have been anxiously awaiting the “official” announcement of Bungie’s Destiny. Today, Bungie has pulled back the title on their upcoming title and Destiny has both gameplay and details revealed.
Bungie released a ViDoc to start off the reveal which discussed the universe, showcased a few mobile options to keep you connected within the universe, and showcased the very first gameplay footage we’ve ever seen of Destiny. If there’s one thing you can take from the reveal, it’s that the game will be absolutely massive. The vistas showcased within the gameplay footage are vast and the world seems to go on forever at times.
Loved the challenges that Bungie provided in Halo: Reach? It appears that we’ll see weekly events with titles such as “Bounty” to allow users to coordinate to earn XP with specific challenges. Competitive multiplayer has also been confirmed for the title and appears to be labeled “Faction Wars” at this point.
The game will feature “always online” connectivity, but Bungie has stated that the game will not require a subscription. There does not appear to be confirmation to state that the game won’t feature an optional subscription service, but we expect to hear about that more close to the launch of the game.
