Both LittleBigPlanet Karting and LittleBigPlanet Vita did well to satisfy fans of the series last year, but a new, numbered entry in the franchise is rumored to be on the horizon.
VG247 reports that LittleBigPlanet 3 is currently in development by British studio Sumo Digital. The developer was handed the franchise “well over a year” ago, and while Sumo has never been the creative force behind an entry in this create-and-share franchise, it did work on cross-controller support for the second title.
Multiple, yet-to-be-named sources are claiming this rumor is true, many of which complained about an overall lapse in moderation for Media Molecule’s past LBP games. The developer is currently hard at work on Tearaway, and with LittleBigPlanet development being outsourced to Sumo, it seems that there’s much less time to keep the user-created levels clean.
