The much-awaited premier episode of “The Tyranny of King Washington” will soon be here.
First revealed prior to the release of Assassin’s Creed III, “The Tyranny of King Washington” branches off from Connor’s main story and provides an alternate-universe retelling of the country’s leadership after the Revolutionary War. “The Infamy,” will be released on Feb. 19 as the first of three chapters in the King Washington saga.
In the new mini-series, protagonist Conner is tasked with the unenviable job of removing George Washington as the head of the American “Kingdom.” As (true) history tells, Washington refused to turn the United States into a monarchy, but in this reality, the Man with Wooden Teeth was unable to resist the allure of Kingship. The following trailer (as well as the use of the word “tyrant” in the series’ title) shows that even the great Washington let the power go to his crowned head, and now it’s up to Conner to save the future of a nation.

“The Infamy,” which will be made available both online and at video game retailers, heads to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC Feb. 19 for $9.99. Fans are also able to buy the Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass, which grants them access to all of the game’s DLC.
According to Polygon.com and Ubisift, all Assassin’s Creed III DLC will head to the Wii U “at a later date.”
