The once Japan-only multi-publisher mash-up for 3DS, Project X Zone, will be getting a Western release on the 3DS come this summer. Featuring 200 characters from 29 different games by publishers such as Namco Bandai, Capcom and Sega, PXZ is a 2D arcade fighter that features prominently on Nintendo’s handheld in Japan. However it’s more than just your typical arcade brawler; the game also sports heavy strategy and RPG features to help vary up the gameplay. If there are three genres Japanese developers are masters of, it’s RPGs, strategy games and fighters.
Project X Zone is co-developed by studios Banpresto and Monolith Soft, and published by Namco Bandai. It will see release across North America, Europe and Australia.
