In celebration of the upcoming Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, which drops on January 15, Gearbox Software has began their first special event for Borderlands 2. Titled Gear Up Weekend, the developer is increasing certain variables to give players a better shot at getting rarer loot. From now until noon (EST) tomorrow, players will notice an “influx of powerful shotguns.” Immediately after this event ends, Gearbox promises another event. Check back tomorrow to see what it is, but for now, go get some loot!
