‘Black Ops 2’ Revolution DLC release date pegged for January

After having the promotional poster leak for the latest Black Ops 2 DLC and details for the map reveal as well, we finally appear to have a release date for the content.

A Facebook post via HMV, a UK retailer, appears to have confirmed the release date of January 29th for the downloadable content. The content is said to first appear on the Xbox 360 for Black Ops 2, and release on both the PC & Playstation 3 on February 28th.

The content of the Revolution DLC will include five maps, a new weapon, and a brand new zombie experience. There’s been no confirmation if Die Rise, the zombie map, will be a full Tranzit experience or just a traditional map. The Revolution DLC will cost 1200 Microsoft Points, but it’ll be free if you have the Season Pass.

All that’s left at this point is for Activision to confirm what we already know. What do you think about the Revolution downloadable content? Leave us a comment below, or discuss Call of Duty in our forums.

UPDATE: Activision has now confirmed the ‘Revolution’ content and has since released a trailer. In addition to the information we’ve outlined above, a new mode for zombies called “Turned” will be included that allows you to play as the undead.
