Big news from Capcom, today – Resident Evil 6 will be making its way to PC next year, March 22. The latest entry into the zombie-filled franchise will be available as a digital download in North America, and as both a digital download and retail copy in Europe on the same date.
Both the digital and retail version of the game will contain all free content that has been released thus far, including the Ada Wong campaign and the No Hope difficulty setting being available from the get-go.
The PC version of RE6 will also support several Steam-specific features, including cloud saving, Steam achievements, friends support, game overlay, and leaderboards.
In addition to the announcement of the PC version of RE6, Capcom also announced a second, free title update coming January 22, 2013. The title update will bring a few adjustments to the game. When the title update goes live, players will be able to set search criteria for Agent Hunt mode, including stage selection, region selection, and whether the campaign player has things like infinite ammunition or friendly fire turned on. Also, once the title update is live, players will be able to turn on QTE assistance on any difficulty. As of now, QTE assistance is an exclusive feature of the Amateur difficulty.
