A few job listings posted by both SuperBot Entertainment and Sony seem to hint at what could be a sequel to the recently released PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale.
IGN reader NKilburne tipped the site off to the two listings for this PlayStation-exclusive developer While the extra help may be required to create even more DLC for its current fighter, the language of the descriptions sounds more like something else is in the works. The first is for an art director.
“A project such as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which by definition brings together elements ranging from an incredibly wide range of artistic styles, requires a strong and unifying vision to present a cohesive and polished project,” the listing reads. “The Art Director is responsible for defining this vision, guiding the creation of art assets from concept through completion while helping develop new technology to facilitate this and maintain proper performance.”
The studio also hopes to find a new Game Designer/Implementer, who would be tasked with “designing, implementing, iterating on, and reviewing gameplay, game modes and systems.” Quite a bit of responsibility.
It’s not often that such hefty jobs are filled to complete DLC, so while we probably won’t hear about it for some time, it’s safe to say SuperBot has a pretty bright future.
