Irrational Games’ BioShock Infinite, originally scheduled to release this year, has been delayed once again. The first-person title will now launch to a sea of hungry fans March 26.
“The game has to be the best game it could possibly be,” Levine explained to a full room of media this morning.
This delay gives the team an extra month of work time, but there won’t be fundamental changes taking place in this well-established product. Newly hired Rod Fergusson was one of the men pushing for the extra time with hopes to clean and polish this massive game in hopes to deliver what the team felt was a complete game.
That’ll move Infinite out of one busy month and into another, but honestly, it’s pretty clear that people will be excited for this game no matter what day it hits store shelves. For now, that day happens to be March 26.
