If you’ve been looking for a way to capture footage of games that you play, it’s hard to argue against the Elgato Game Capture HD as being a near perfect solution. While the system and its software are rather intuitive, customers who purchased the product have wondered why livestreaming wasn’t built-in from the start.
That debate can officially be shelved today as Elgato has released an update that will allow gamers to livestream to Twitch. With the click of a button, you’ll be able to begin streaming to Twitch after authenticating your account. Any microphone that you have connected to your computer will also enable you to do live commentary as well.
Support has also been enabled for the Nintendo Wii U as of today’s update as well. An option has been added in the same section as the “Xbox 360” and “Playstation 3” options to help you optimize your gameplay footage.
