While we didn’t get a firm release date for Pikmin 3, we did get a release for another Nintendo franchise. The turn-based strategy Fire Emblem is making its way to the 3DS with its latest installment, Fire Emblem: Awakening. You’ll be able to grab the game on February 4, 2013.
The newest title incorporates a new feature called ‘relationship levels’ that determines how well two characters work together. You can raise it by having characters converse with each other a lot or in battles, have two characters come together as one unit. Players will be able to use both characters at the same time to battle enemies. That way, they’ll work much better together and battles will by even smoother.
I’m a huge fan of Fire Emblem since it first came to North American shores on the GBA in 2003. Prior to that, the only way NA players found out about the game was through Marth and Roy in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Since then, we’ve gotten iterations of the game on the Wii and DS. Look forward to the newest title coming this February.
