According to a press release from Telltale games, a The Walking Dead retail bundle will be sold in disc-form on Dec. 11.
If you’re not fully aware of one of this year’s biggest hits, The Walking Dead was released in five downloadable episodes, each available for $5, with a season pass available for $20. Now, for those who like things a little more physical, the retail edition of The Walking Dead includes episodes 1-5 on one nice disc. The suggested retail price of the game’s standard retail edition is $29.99, while the GameStop exclusive Collector’s Edition can be pre-ordered for $69.99. That version includes exclusive cover art and volumes 1-48 of Robert Kirkman’s comic book series that started the madness.
The Walking Dead is a horror/adventure game based on the popular television series by the same name. Players take control of protagonist Lee Everett in a post-zombie-apocolyptic world, working alongside a group of allied survivors. The game has been praised for its action/consequence mechanics, storytelling and art style, and is being considered on many game-of-the-year lists.
The Walking Dead will be available Dec. 11 at game retailers in North America on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
