The release date spotted yesterday by an IGN reader for Quantic Dreams’ Beyond: Two Souls has been shot down by Sony.
The publisher’s official website had this highly anticipated PlayStation 3 title slated for a May 25 release, but since that specific day is a Saturday, people were rightfully questioning the date. Many assumed it was a placeholder, but Sony has gotten in contact with IGN to set the record straight.
“We have not announced a release date for Beyond: Two Souls outside of the 2013 time frame,” Sony said. “In fact, [Quantic Dream founder David Cage] recently shared that the title is preparing for the alpha version so the date reported on the product site is incorrect and has since been updated.”
It’s still expected next year, but whatever month it falls in is yet to be determined.
