Far Cry 3 is one of my most anticipated games of the year, and the wait until December 4 is getting ridiculous. To ease things along, Ubisoft today released a trailer which confirmed a map editor function for the game. Check it out below.

While I had no intention of ever touching the multiplayer aspect of the game, this map editor function looks really neat. Over 2,000 (!!!) in-game objects will be able to placed in your island, along with terrain features such as waterfalls and caves, as well as the usual assortment of vehicles and wildlife. There’s even an option to include AI opponents within your custom level to make a sort of challenge map. Even though I’m no where near as creative as I should be, I can’t wait to give the map editor a whirl.
