Way back in ancient times (1989), Peter Molyneux and his company Bullfrog brought forth a new style of strategy game, the god game, and they did it with their game ‘Populous’. Now, the folks over at 22cans (Molyneux’s new studio), want to do a fresh reinvention of the game with ‘GODUS’ for PC, iOS, and Android. But they need your help. Yes, you. The one sitting there.
At the time of this writing, £115,829 has been raised of the £450,000 needed to get the project off the ground. Backer rewards include a digital copy of the game ( £15), a second copy of the game for a friend as well as beta access ( £30), all the way up to a signed art book and print (£333), titanium jewelry ( £999), and VIP access to E3 2013 ( £5000). That’s quite a bit of quid (that’s British for “money dollars”, right?) for those rewards, but I’m sure folks clamoring for another ‘Populous’ game and willing to chip in some cash will find them worthwhile.
