Another day, another trademark. I’ve said in the past that I love trying to guess what these trademarks are, and this time is no different. A report has cropped up that Capcom has filed a trademark for something called “Fighters of Capcom.”
The trademark does reference the purpose of, in short, distributing games, so we can infer that this is going to be for a game. It may be because I’ve been playing PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale all day, but my first thought was that this may be a game similar to that and Super Smash Bros. I could certainly see a brawler modeled after classic Capcom characters, but it would have to do enough to differentiate itself from all of the other Capcom-themed fighting games that have seen the light of day in the past. Time will tell, but I’m still going to put my money on a brawler.
