Rockstar Games’ spring blockbuster, Grand Theft Auto V, is still being considered for release on both the PC and Nintendo’s recently launched Wii U.
We’ve seen a barrage of GTA V-related content over the past few weeks, but all of it has been concerning the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the open-world game. However, there may still be hope for fans of the franchise who own different platforms.
“Everything else is up for consideration. That’s all I can give you,” Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser said to IGN.
Hitting both those platforms at launch may be a bit unreasonable, but that doesn’t mean that down the road can’t see GTA V elsewhere.
“The main thing is we are not… we are a third-party publisher. We’re not Nintendo, we’re not Sony, we’re not Microsoft,” Houser said. “We love all of them in different ways. But we can do what we want wherever there’s the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market. If that’s on Apple we put something on Apple. Wherever it might be.”
We’ll just have to wait and see what Rockstar has cookin’ in its game-development oven.
So, do you think the team’s largest game will make it to either the PC or Wii U? If so, would you buy it on those platforms? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below!
