Telltale games has confirmed that a collector’s edition of their popular (and extremely good) zombie adventure game based on the graphic novel series is on its way. Additionally, the 5th and final episode of the “season” will appear in November.
The collector’s edition includes a disc version of the game (with all 5 episodes), and an exclusive 1,000-page Walking Dead compendium that contains the first 48 issues of the long-running series with Charlie Adlard cover art unique to this set. The whole shebang will be $69.99. Alternatively, you can also purchase the standard edition of the game for $29.99.
While this episode has no official release date yet, the collector’s edition will release on December 4th, with some strings attached. The collector’s edition is exclusively for GameStop customers who preorder the game, and quantities are very limited according to Telltale. That means that if you want it, you’d probably better go preorder it now for Xbox 360 or PS3.
