‘Darkstalkers Resurrection’ revisits two classic fighters for PSN and XBLA

Capcom are on a run to catalog almost every fighting game they’ve ever released on the downloadable market. But this time, it’s one fans actually want…except they wanted a new game. Close enough Capcom! They announced in a press release and at New York Comic-Con that we’ll be getting Darkstalkers Resurrection in early 2013.

The game brings two titles in the Darkstalkers franchise with 1995’s Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revege and 1997’s Darkstalkers 3 in one package for $14.99 on PSN or 1200 MSP on XBLA. Both games will have HD graphical filtering, a Challenge/Tutorial mode for new players, Youtube uploading and the GGPO net code for online play. Not included is the ability to turn into your favorite demon but Capcom hasn’t commented on that ability quite yet.

Yoshinori Ono from Capcom even hinted that this is the first step towards bringing back the classic franchise. Maybe we’ll see a new iteration in the mix? Let’s hope, Morrigan needs a new game that’s not a Marvel vs. Capcom.
