Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix was recently revealed at the Tokyo Game Show, and while fans were excited to hear about high-definition versions of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts – Re:Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, there was an obvious missing piece.
That piece, of course, is Kingdom Hearts II. One of the most revered titles in this franchise, the second Kingdom Hearts game may not have an HD version announced at this time, but series director Tetsuya Nomura feels pretty confident that we’ll see it in the future.
Famitsu recently sat down with Nomura to talk about 1.5 HD Remix, and while details on that title were discussed, the question of whether or not the second game would get a similar, high-definition treatment was brought up.
“It’d be unusual if there wasn’t [a Kingdom Hearts II HD],” Nomura replied.
So, there you have it. We don’t know when, but have faith that you’ll see much more of Sora and the gang soon.
Are you a fan of the Kingdom Hearts franchise? When do you think we’ll see a prettier version of the second game? Let us know by leaving a comment below!
